The Pier

The pier is 60’ long and 5’ wide with a 10’ x 10’ covered picnic pavilion in the middle. There is electricity and water at the dock. At the end of the pier is a 7500 pound electric boat lift which can be adapted to all kinds of hulls. We had a 26’ deep keel sailboat on the lift for many years. On the other side of the pier from the boat lift are two mooring pilings. There is normally 4-5’ of water depth at the end of the pier and even at super low tides there is 3’. Further out in the channel the depth goes to 5-6’ and rapidly deepens going down the creek. Not far down the creek around a bend is Lodge Landing on the left and Olverson’s Marina on the right. Lodge Creek widens beyond on out to the Yeocomico River. Olversons’s Marina is at the dead end of Melrose Road about a mile beyond the property.
